How do you know we’re
the right choice for your child?
New Beginnings offers a very warm and supportive environment for your child; your child’s happiness, well-being and development are our priorities. In meeting this, we work in partnership with parents and welcome you to visit, call or feedback to us at any time; we value your opinion and will work with you to provide the best care for your child.
At New Beginnings we have a number of unique features and facilities that set us aside from other day nurseries. We want to make life easier for parents and therefore offer the following:
-
We have an intimate, home from home environment where children thrive through opportunities to engage with children of all ages on a daily basis.
-
Our Webcam facility is a firm favourite with our parents. It enables them and their selected family members regardless of the country they live in, to log onto the site and view their child/children/grandchildren enjoying their day.
-
All nappies, wipes and creams are included in our prices. We use Pampers brand nappies and wipes for our childrenWe offer discount for siblings, NHS staff and teachers
-
An opportunity for our Pre-Schoolers to enjoy a small setting where they feel confident and at home. We help provide each child with the strong foundations and independent skills needed in readiness for a larger setting, such as School
-
New Beginnings participates in local charity community based events as well as National ones, we also sponsor a child in Africa called Muthini through ‘Plan UK’. Find Out More
-
‘Nursery Buddies’ are our little friends that Key Carers promote with our children. These cuddly toys are awarded to those children who the staff feel have been extra ‘caring’, ‘helpful’, ‘sharing’, ‘kind’ etc. and have the opportunity to take them home for the night for a ‘sleep over’.
-
Our children have the opportunity of taking Fynn the Bear on holiday or for sleep overs too, he comes with his own suitcase and passport and the children and their families can write about his adventures in his diary.
-
We have “Curly Cath” from “Little Stars” who comes into Nursery to do singing time with the children. This is at no extra cost; this is educational as well as fun!
-
In May 2017 New Beginnings received a “Smile” award from Buckinghamshire County Council for endorsing good oral health practices, children eat healthy, tooth friendly food and drinks and a positive oral health environment
Parent Partnership
-
At New Beginnings, we focus on working with parents to understand more about their child’s development.
-
We like parents to feel welcome into the nursery and we invite them to share their interests with the children.
-
We like to work in partnership with parents to successfully settle their child into the nursery and continue this relationship throughout the child’s time at nursery.
-
Parents are encouraged to share their child’s observations and to look at their child’s portfolio as parental involvement is beneficial to children’s learning and development of self-esteem.
-
We believe that children benefit most from early years education and care when parents and settings work together in partnership.
Policies and Procedures
The safety and security of the children in our care is our overriding priority at New Beginnings Day Nursery and we have a number of policies and procedures to reinforce this.
The policies and procedures can be viewed by parents at any time by contacting the nursery manager.
The policies and procedures are very detailed documents covering a wide range of areas and issues, including safeguarding and child protection, partnership with parents, health and safety policy, first aid and medical procedures, nutrition and healthy eating policy, allergens policy, fire evacuation procedures, and much, much more.
