Pre-School love bird watching!
Our pre schoolers have shown an interest in the birds that they can see in the nursery garden this week. We have extended this interest by using our bird pictures to help identify them and looking through the binoculars. We went on a walk through the woods to look and listen for birds and whilst we were there we built a den to hide in. The children really enjoyed the bird watching and den making. They worked as a team to collect the big sticks and help to make our den.
Our gardens, countryside and surrounding areas, are full of amazing birds. From acrobatic blue tits and charismatic robins to noisy magpies and cheeky gulls – birds are our most visible wild friends and no matter where you are, birds and their unique behaviours make for fascinating viewing.
